1957 Zippy Vinyl Monkey Doll by Cosmopolitan Ginger’s Playmate in Original BOX

I am thinning out dolls from my personal collection. Please check back often as I will be listing them over the next few weeks as time permits.
This is the impossible to find Zippy vinyl monkey doll, MIB. Made by Cosmopolitan Doll Co in 1957. I have only seen 1 other one of these.
The box top has a tear across the front and has a piece of old tape on the inside. Still has great graphics and color. Has some wear at the corners and edges. The box bottom is overall in good condition for it’s age and shows yellowing from age. Please see all the pictures.
Zippy is about 8-1/2 inches tall, has his original outfit, shirt marked ZIP, red corduroy overalls and red shoes. He has paint wear to his face and head as pictured. He has brown sleep eyes, and they need a bit of help to open or close.
He is unmarked on the back of his neck. I have had 2 of these (boxed Ginger Friend) in my lifetime, and both were unmarked. I have others (not in this box) that are marked “Zippy” on the back of the neck and I have 1 marked “Kokomo” on the back of the neck. This one that came in this box has the unmarked neck.
Comes with the Ginger booklet pictured. It has been filled out on the back as pictured (so cute).
