Description

My late mother collected this doll in the 1970s.  I spent two hours trying to figure out the manufacturer's name pressed into the back of the doll's head.  Finally, my daughter-in-law identified it for me.  The letters are:  Copyright 1961  2  PLATED MOULDS INC.  I have included two photos of the lettering.
The doll's head is vinyl, as are the arms and legs; the head and limbs rotate.  The body is hard plastic.  The eyes open and close, but sluggishly, the left eye needing an assist.  It appears to be a drink and wet doll.  Something rattles on the inside.  I expect my mother made all the clothing, and certainly added the socks and booties.
The small finger of the right hand is missing, leaving a small hole.  There is also a hole on the right arm; it looks like it was made by something hot.  There is what could be small split of the surface vinyl on the scalp, only on the surface, not all the way through.  There may be a dent on the lower head, unless it is simply the natural shape; I cannot tell.
I measure the doll's length as 22 inches with the legs extended.
